The Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 took place yesterday in South Africa. The festival played homage to Mr Nelson Mandela; a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. Mr Mandela was the country’s first black head of state.
Mr Mandela who passed away in 2013 will have been 100 years old on December 5th 2018. The Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 was a way to set a historic stage for not only donor countries, but also for African countries. It is a way to stand up for Mr Mandela’s hope for the future and making sure that Africa was standing up and getting its voice heard.
The Global Citizen Festival is part of a movement to end extreme poverty by contributing to charity acts on the website, including watching videos and signing petitions, fans can get free tickets to the festival.
At yesterday’s performance Beyoncé and Jay-Z headlined the festival and Queen Bey served some pretty stunning looks.
Whenever Beyoncé is performing, as well as her unfaulted vocals and incredible performances the outfits she wears always cause a commotion. Beyoncé is donned the greatest performer of our generation and yesterday was no exception! For this performance she had 6 different outfit changes which she slayed in! (if I do say so myself).
